These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to all online courses and services offered through a-b-cpr-onlinetraining.com by A-B-CPR & First Aid Training Inc ("A-B-CPR," "we," "our," or "us"). By purchasing an online course, using our course portal, or using this website, you agree to these Terms. In-person and blended classes offered by our parent brand are governed by the terms published at a-b-cpr.com.

1. Enrollment

Enrollment and payment are completed on our course portal (portal.a-b-cpr.com). You agree to provide accurate contact information when registering so we can deliver course access, confirmations, and your certificate. Courses are available immediately after enrollment and are fully self-paced.

2. Online course access

Course logins are for one individual only. Sharing access, copying materials, downloading content, or distributing quizzes or videos is prohibited. Recording, reproducing, or distributing any part of our courses is strictly prohibited. Students maintain ongoing access to their online course unless otherwise specified; courses may be updated at our discretion as guidelines change.

3. Certificate scope and employer acceptance

Our online courses are cognitive learning only and issue certificates of completion for fully-online, self-paced training. They do not include an in-person skills assessment, and they may not meet every employer or regulatory requirement. Requirements that mandate hands-on skills verification, including healthcare BLS under AHA guidelines, California EMSA childcare licensing, and certain OSHA workplace programs, are not satisfied by these certificates; our parent brand teaches those classes in person.

Acceptance of any certificate is determined solely by the accepting employer, school, or licensing body. It is your responsibility to confirm that a course meets your requirements before enrolling, and our fit-check page exists to help you do that.

4. Certification

Certification is granted only upon successful completion of all required lessons and assessments, with a passing score of 80% or higher on the final quiz (retakes are permitted). CPR and first aid certificates are valid for two years from completion; bloodborne pathogens certificates are valid for one year, consistent with OSHA's annual training requirement. Certificates can be verified against our training records.

5. Refunds

All sales are non-refundable. We may make exceptions at our discretion when a student contacts us directly, and we encourage you to reach out before completing a course if you believe you purchased the wrong one; we would rather move you into the right course than leave you with the wrong certificate.

6. Payments

We accept major debit and credit cards through our course portal. Organizations purchasing multiple seats may arrange invoicing by agreement; contact us for group enrollment.

7. No guarantee of real-world outcomes

CPR and first aid training improves skills and preparedness but does not guarantee real-world outcomes or survival in emergency situations. Course content is safety training and general information, not medical advice for specific situations and not legal compliance advice for specific workplaces.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, A-B-CPR is not liable for consequential or incidental damages arising from use of our courses or website, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the course or service in question.

9. Intellectual property

All course materials, videos, site content, and certificates are the property of A-B-CPR & First Aid Training Inc. You may not copy, distribute, record, or reproduce training materials in any form. Certificates may not be altered, and misrepresentation of a certificate is grounds for revocation of its verification.

10. Communications

By enrolling, you consent to receiving course confirmations, receipts, reminders, and important course information by email. You may also receive occasional promotional messages and can opt out at any time; opting out of promotions does not opt you out of essential messages related to active enrollments.

11. Website use

You agree not to attempt unauthorized access to our systems, scrape or copy content from the website, or use the site for fraudulent or unlawful purposes. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for those sites.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be handled in state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. The revised version becomes effective when posted on this website, and your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
