CPR certificates are valid for two years, and the renewal is often the thing that slips. The fix takes about an hour: recertify online, pass the quiz, and your new certificate downloads instantly.
Renewal here is the full current course at the same price as first-time certification. That is deliberate. Guidelines are revised regularly, and a renewal that skips the material is how skills go stale. Most renewing students finish fast anyway because they know the terrain.

How do I renew my CPR certification online?
Enroll, complete the self-paced course (about an hour), pass the checkpoint quizzes, and download your new certificate immediately. It is valid for two years from your completion date.
Are there quizzes during the course?
Yes. Because this is a CPR course, it has short 5-question checkpoint quizzes along the way, and you need 100% on each one to move forward. You can retry as many times as you need, and your certificate downloads the moment you finish.
Is renewal different from getting certified the first time?
The certificate is the same and so is the course. CPR guidelines are updated over time, so recertification runs the full current curriculum rather than a shortened refresher. Most renewing students move through it quickly because the material is familiar.
My certification expired years ago. Can I still renew online?
Yes. There is no penalty window. You take the same course and get a current two-year certificate regardless of when your old one expired.
Can I renew a BLS or EMSA card online?
No. Healthcare BLS and California EMSA childcare cards require in-person skills testing to renew, the same as they did to earn. Our parent brand A-B-CPR runs BLS renewal classes in Southern California.
Do I need to renew with the same provider I certified with?
No. You can recertify with any provider your employer accepts. If your role accepts a fully-online certificate, you can renew here regardless of where you first certified.
